If you know me, then you know that I have an obscene obsession with music.
Somehow during this crazy thing called life, I wound up writing about music for a living. Since 2014, I have been the scribe of various compelling articles concerning all my favorite rappers and singers for HipHopDX.
In 2018, I began penning for UPROXX’s music section where I continue to scribe and curate the branding experience for our readers by producing original content. For those curious, I drove from Houston to Los Angeles thinking I was going to be like Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port from The Hills since I had just landed this amazing public relations fashion internship. That didn’t quite work out as planned, so I moved on and began working in PR for A-list actors and actresses at a mid-level public relations firm. After a year, I branched off in an attempt to try public relations on a freelance level.
At the same time, I stepped through the doors of the HipHopDX offices as an eager intern with a natural knack for identifying talent early on.
I was previously one of their top writers and the thought creator behind dope content for their YouTube channel, such as “9 Of Lil Wayne’s Dopest Features” and “The Thought Box.” Additionally, I took major pride in curating their weekly #DXHitList on Spotify. While doing that, my day-to-day job was working as an executive assistant for King Bach (yes, the dude from Vine and Netflix).
Now, I get to curate the live performance series UPROXX Sessions with all my favorite up and coming rappers and singers.
My favorite thing to do is to listen to new music so please feel free to tap in with me at any time with pitches and dope music.
