I just want to give a special shout out to sunsama for getting me through my first semester back at the university of houston. It’s finals week and it’s keeping my anxiety low and my sanity high.
the sounds of stevie wonder is also keeping my anxiety low and sanity elevated. when I need a mental palette cleanser, I can always count on stevie. 10/10 recommend listening to stevie to get your day started.
music is a must to get my day going and it has to have certain lightness about it. In my mind, that lightness sounds like what the sun and cool breeze would sound like if it were a duo. maybe it’s the tamborine. maybe it’s the guitar strings. maybe it’s ringing of the cymbals. maybe it’s stevie’s mix of ✨positive affirmations✨ and soulful rhythm I have no clue. My soul knows this sound better than I do; I just go with it because it feels good.
Trust me, the stevie wonder + sunsama combo is gold.
after finals, I plan to treat myself to do some shopping at my favorite dtla showrooms and see what they have for me. I also want to get some fabric so I can start my faux fashion design career. I have so many random things I want to do. This includes making clothes that I want to wear and not have to search for my vision.

I made my renaissance outfit for beyoncé’s concert and even though it was unfinished I got a lot of compliments on it. The vision for the outfit I wanted to wear, I knew I wouldn’t be able to find, so I went to Octavia Labs at the Los Angeles Public Library and they taught me how to sew. I created the look in one day and on crunch time, like they do on Project Runway. My favorite addition was the little zipper on the skirt! ^.^
I had so much fun and it was so therapeutic that once my sewing machine arrives, it’ll be my hobby. I hope my family and friends know that all their gifts will be cut and sew projects! 🙂
